On a humorous note here is an old Saturday Night Live sketch debating nuclear power. It is worth the laugh. Just be ware the language may not be suitable to young audience members.

ANL classic Weekend update skit with Jane Curtin and Dan Akroyd (Jane you ignorant slut!) discussing the future of the Nuclear power industry, May 17.1979

Nuclear Power, a danger to our children

by gord on July 3, 2010

There are a lot of groups out there that get a lot of press and argue against nuclear power. I wanted to present the opposing argument on the matter. Here is a youtube video on why nuclear power should be allowed. I do not suggest all of the problems are discussed but some of them are presented.

Just watch the video. Nuclear Power is clean, green, safe, and cheap. It is the silver bullet for carbon alternatives. Those who claim it is unclean or unsafe are ignorant and tragically misinformed. Antinuclear power groups are run by demagogues. Their intention is to get you afraid of what you don’t understand so they can be elected and pass ridiculous laws you understand even less. Nuclear energy is nothing to fear, and is the ONLY viable alternative to fossil fuels. And is extremely clean, safe, and cheap. physics.isu.edu www.nuc.berkeley.edu www.phyast.pitt.edu
